Chapter 47: Krauñca-vyūha Deployment and Conch-Signals
Kaurava–Pāṇḍava Readiness
तथा देवा: सगन्धर्वा: पितरश्ष॒ जनाधिप । सिद्धचारणसंघाश्न समीयुस्ते दिदृक्षया
tathā devāḥ sagandharvāḥ pitaraś ca janādhipa | siddhacāraṇasaṅghāś ca samīyus te didṛkṣayā ||
قال سنجيا: «وكذلك، يا سيّدَ الناس، اجتمع هناك الآلهةُ مع الغندرفا والپِتْر (أرواح الأسلاف)، وجموعُ السِّدْها والچارَنا، شوقاً إلى مشاهدة ذلك القتل المروّع.»
संजय उवाच
The verse underscores that acts of great dharmic consequence—especially war and mass violence—are not merely human events but are witnessed within a larger moral and cosmic order, implying accountability beyond immediate worldly outcomes.
Sañjaya reports to the king that various celestial and ancestral beings assembled at the battlefield, drawn by the desire to observe the terrifying combat and slaughter unfolding there.
