Educational Q&A

A person becomes dear to the Lord through steady contentment, self-mastery, unwavering resolve, and wholehearted dedication—offering both mind (manas) and discernment (buddhi) to the divine rather than being driven by restlessness or ego.

Within the Gītā’s dialogue on the battlefield, the teaching turns to the marks of the ideal devotee. This verse highlights the inner qualities that sustain right action under pressure: calm satisfaction, disciplined control, firm conviction, and surrendered devotion to Kṛṣṇa.
