Karma-Yoga, Jñāna-Yajña, and Avatāra Instruction
योगस्थ: कुरु कर्माणि सज्ुूं त्यक्त्वा धनंजय । सिद्धयसिद्धयो: समो भूत्वा समत्वं योग उच्यते
yogasthaḥ kuru karmāṇi saṅgaṃ tyaktvā dhanañjaya | siddhyasiddhyoḥ samo bhūtvā samatvaṃ yoga ucyate ||
قال سَنْجَيَا: اثبتْ في اليوغا وأدِّ واجباتك يا دَهنَنْجَيَا، متخلّيًا عن التعلّق. وابقَ متساويَ النفس في النجاح والإخفاق وأنت تعمل—فإنّ هذا الاتزان هو الذي يُسمّى «يوغا».
संजय उवाच
Do one’s duty while renouncing attachment to outcomes; maintain the same inner balance in success and failure. This equanimity (samatva) is itself defined as yoga.
On the battlefield, Arjuna is being instructed to act according to kṣatriya-dharma without being driven by fear of loss or craving for victory; the focus is shifted from results to disciplined, ethically grounded action.
