भीष्मपतनविषये धृतराष्ट्रस्य प्रश्नाः | Dhṛtarāṣṭra’s Questions on Bhīṣma’s Fall

हयानां च गजानां च राज्ञां चामिततेजसाम् । प्रत्यक्ष यन््मया दृष्ट॑ दृष्ट योगबलेन च,भूपाल! मैंने हाथियों, घोड़ों तथा अमिततेजस्वी राजाओंके विषयमें जो कुछ अपनी आँखों देखा है और योगबलसे जिसका साक्षात्कार किया है, वह सब वृत्तान्त सुना रहा हूँ, सुनिये। अपने मनको शोकमें न डालिये। नरेश्वर! निश्चय ही दैवका यह सारा विधान मुझे पहलेसे ही प्रत्यक्ष हो चुका है
Translation
قال سَنْجَايَا: «يا حامي الأرض، عمّا يخصّ الفيلة والخيول والملوك ذوي البأس الذي لا يُقاس—كل ما رأيته بعينيّ، وكل ما شهدته بقوة اليوغا—سأقصّه عليك كله. فاستمع. ولا تُلقِ بقلبك في الحزن؛ يا سيد الناس، إن هذا التدبير كله من قِبَل القدر كان قد تجلّى لي منذ زمن بعيد».
