sañjaya uvāca |
aśakyaḥ pāṇḍavas tāta yuddhe jetuṃ kathaṃcana |
amānuṣāṇi karmāṇi yasyaitāni mahātmanaḥ ||
The verse underscores prudent judgment in dharmic warfare: when a warrior’s prowess appears superhuman, wise counsel recognizes limits, avoids reckless escalation, and urges realistic strategy rather than pride-driven persistence.
Sañjaya reports to the Kuru side that the Pāṇḍava warrior (Arjuna) is effectively unbeatable in battle, pointing to his extraordinary exploits as evidence of his overwhelming martial superiority.
