ततो नृपा: समाजहुस्तनूनि च मृदूनि च । उपधानानि मुख्यानि नैच्छत् तानि पितामह:,तब राजालोग तत्काल बढ़िया, कोमल और महीन वस्त्रके बने हुए बहुत-से तकिये ले आये; परंतु पितामह भीष्मने उन्हें लेनेकी इच्छा नहीं की
tato nṛpāḥ samājahus tanūni ca mṛdūni ca | upadhānāni mukhyāni naicchat tāni pitāmahaḥ ||
ثم جاء الملوك بوسائد كثيرة نفيسة، مصنوعة من مواد ناعمة رقيقة؛ غير أن الجدّ بهيشما لم يُرِد أن يقبلها.
