भीष्मस्य समरे कर्म चिन्तयानास्तु पाण्डवा: | नालभन्त तदा शान्तिं भीष्मबाणप्रपीडिता:,पाण्डव भीष्मके बाणोंसे अत्यन्त पीड़ित हो रहे थे। उन्हें समरांगणमें भीष्मके पराक्रमका चिन्तन करके तनिक भी शान्ति नहीं मिलती थी

sañjaya uvāca | bhīṣmasya samare karma cintayānās tu pāṇḍavāḥ | nālabhanta tadā śāntiṃ bhīṣmabāṇaprapīḍitāḥ ||

قال سنجيا: إنّ الباندافا، وقد عُذِّبوا بسهام بهيشما، ظلّوا يتأمّلون أعماله وبأسه في ساحة القتال؛ وفي ذلك الحين لم يجدوا أدنى سكينة.
