भीष्मपर्व — अध्याय ११०: पार्थभीमयोः प्रहारः तथा भीष्माभिमुखं संग्रामविस्तारः
Arjuna and Bhima’s pressure; escalation toward Bhishma
यदि भीष्मे हते वीरे जयं पश्यसि पाण्डव । हन्तास्म्येकरथेनाद्य कुरुवृद्धं पितामहम्,'पाण्डुनन्दन! यदि भीष्मके मारे जानेपर ही आपको अपनी विजय दिखायी दे रही है तो मैं एकमात्र रथकी सहायतासे आज कुरुकुलवृद्ध पितामह भीष्मको मार डालूँगा
sañjaya uvāca | yadi bhīṣme hate vīre jayaṃ paśyasi pāṇḍava | hantāsmy ekarathenādya kuruvṛddhaṃ pitāmaham ||
قال سانجيا: «يا باندافا، إن كنت لا ترى النصر إلا إذا قُتل بهيشما البطل، فإني اليوم، معتمدًا على عربة واحدة، سأقتل ذلك الجدّ الأكبر للكورو، الشيخ بيتامها بهيشما.»
