भीष्मपर्व — अध्याय ११०: पार्थभीमयोः प्रहारः तथा भीष्माभिमुखं संग्रामविस्तारः
Arjuna and Bhima’s pressure; escalation toward Bhishma
कृष्ण पश्य महात्मानं भीष्मं भीमपराक्रमम् । गजं नलवनानीव विमृद्नन्तं बल॑ मम,“श्रीकृष्ण! देखिये, भयंकर पराक्रमी महात्मा भीष्म हमारी सेनाका उसी प्रकार विनाश कर रहे हैं, जैसे हाथी सरकंडोंके जंगलोंको रौंद डालते हैं
sañjaya uvāca | kṛṣṇa paśya mahātmānaṃ bhīṣmaṃ bhīmaparākramam | gajaṃ nalavanānīva vimṛdnantaṃ balaṃ mama ||
قال سنجيا: «يا كريشنا، انظر إلى بهيشما العظيم النفس، شديد البأس. إنه يسحق جندي كما يسحق الفيل غياض القصب حين يطؤها.»
