उभयो: सदृशं कर्म स पितुर्मातुलस्य च । रणे बहुविध॑ चक्रे सर्वशस्त्रभूतां वर:,वीर अभिमन्यु अपने पिता अर्जुनके समान पराक्रमी था। बल और विक्रममें वसुदेवनन्दन श्रीकृष्णकी समानता करता था। सम्पूर्ण शस्त्रधारियोंमें श्रेष्ठ उस वीरने रणक्षेत्रमें उन कौरव रथियोंके साथ अपने पिता और मामा दोनोंके सदृश अनेक प्रकारका शौर्यपूर्ण कार्य किया

Transliteration

ubhayor sadṛśaṁ karma sa pitur mātulasya ca | raṇe bahuvidhaṁ cakre sarvaśastrabhūtāṁ varaḥ ||

Translation

قال سنجيا: إنّ أبهيمانيو، وهو الأوّل بين جميع حاملي السلاح، قد أتى في قلب المعركة بأنواعٍ كثيرة من أعمال البسالة، تماثل أعمال أبيه وخاله. وتؤكّد هذه الآية تفوّقه الموروث وعزيمته الراسخة على أن يبلغ المعيار الذي سنّه الشيوخ في القتال القائم على الدارما.
