Adhyāya 90: Babhruvāhana’s Reception and the Commencement of Yudhiṣṭhira’s Aśvamedha
ब्राह्मणास्तपसा युक्ता यथाशक्ति प्रदायिन: । “उस स्वर्गद्वारकी जो अर्गला (किल्ली) है
brāhmaṇās tapasā yuktā yathāśakti pradāyinaḥ |
قال الحمو: «إنّ البراهمةَ الذين تهذّبهم التنسّكُ ويعطون صدقةً على قدر طاقتهم هم الذين يقدرون حقًّا على إدراك “باب السماء”. مزلاجُه مصنوعٌ من بذرةِ الطمع، والبابُ مستورٌ بالتعلّق؛ لذلك فالدخولُ إلى داخله بالغُ العسر. ولا يَرى ذلك البابَ حتى رؤيةً إلا البراهمةُ الزهّاد—الذين قهروا الغضب، وضبطوا الحواس، وأعطوا على قدر الاستطاعة».
