Subhadrā’s Petition to Kṛṣṇa for the Revival of Parīkṣit
hṛṣṭānāṃ siṃhanādena janānāṃ tatra niḥsvanaḥ | praviśya pradiśaḥ sarvāḥ punar eva vyupāramat ||
The verse highlights the power of collective joy and its proper containment: celebration can surge and fill the world, yet it should naturally settle back into calm, reflecting social balance and self-restraint even in happiness.
On hearing auspicious news (contextually, the report of a son's birth), the gathered people roar in triumph; the resulting clamor spreads through all quarters and then gradually quiets down.
