अहानि त्रिंशदव्यग्र: पठच चान्यानि भारत । क्रोधामर्षाभिसंतप्तस्तदा ब्राह्णसत्तम:
vaiśampāyana uvāca |
ahāni triṃśad avyagraḥ khanat cānyāni bhārata |
krodhāmarṣābhisaṃtaptaḥ tadā brāhmaṇasattamaḥ ||
قال فايشَمبايانا: يا بهاراتا، إن أُتَّنْكَ، وهو أرفعُ البراهمة، وقد التهبت نفسه غضبًا وجرحته الأنفة، ظلّ غيرَ مُنصرفٍ عن قصده، يواصل الحفر ثلاثين يومًا وزيادة. ويُبرز هذا الموضع كيف تدفع العواطفُ العنيفة إلى سعيٍ لا يكلّ، لكنه يلمّح أيضًا إلى توتّرٍ أخلاقي بين ثبات العزم وبين أن يحكم المرءَ سَطْوَةُ الغضب.
