Educational Q&A

The verse foregrounds rightful authority and disciplined communication: a messenger identifies himself, states his commission, and asks the king to hear the divine instruction—highlighting respect for hierarchy and the ethical duty to listen carefully to counsel meant for the welfare of realms.

The Gandharva-king Dhṛtarāṣṭra approaches King Marutta and begins delivering Indra’s message, formally introducing himself and inviting Marutta to hear Indra’s words.
