वैशम्पायन उवाच एतावदुक्त्वा वचनमनुमान्य च पार्थिवम्‌ | तथास्त्विति च तेनोक्त: कौन्तेयेन ययौ वनम्‌,वैशम्पायनजी कहते हैं--राजन्‌! यों कहकर महर्षि व्यासने राजा युधिष्ठिरको राजी कर लिया और “बहुत अच्छा' कहकर जब युधिष्छिरने उनकी आज्ञा स्वीकार कर ली, तब वे वनमें अपने आश्रमपर चले गये

vaiśampāyana uvāca | etāvad uktvā vacanam anumānya ca pārthivam | tathāstv iti ca tenoktaḥ kaunteyena yayau vanam ||

قال فايشامبايانا: «أيها الملك! لما قال الحكيم فياسا ذلك، استمال رضا الملك. فلما أجاب ابن كونتي: “ليكن كذلك”، قابِلًا وصيته، انصرف الحكيم إلى الغابة عائدًا إلى أشرمه (معتكفه).»
