Vyāsa’s Inquiry into Dhṛtarāṣṭra’s Tapas and the Identification of Vidura with Dharma

Educational Q&A

Even the strongest must be guided by discernment: accepting an elder’s consoling counsel with sincerity helps transform post-war bitterness into restraint and reconciliation, aligning conduct with dharma.

Dhṛtarāṣṭra offers consolation to Bhīma, and Bhīma—described as both wise and heroic—accepts the king’s words wholeheartedly, indicating a softening of tensions and a move toward peace within the family.
