Vyāsa’s Inquiry into Dhṛtarāṣṭra’s Tapas and the Identification of Vidura with Dharma
अनुजज्ञे स कौरव्यमभिनन्द्य युधिष्ठटिरम् । महात्मा धर्मराजके ऐसा कहनेपर राजर्षि धृतराष्ट्रने कुरुनन्दन युधिष्ठिरका अभिनन्दन करके उन्हें जानेकी आज्ञा दे दी
anujajñe sa kauravyam abhinandya yudhiṣṭhiram | mahātmā dharmarājasyaivaṃ kahanepara rājarṣi dhṛtarāṣṭreṇa kurunandana-yudhiṣṭhirasya abhinandanaṃ kṛtvā tasya gamanāya ājñā dattā |
وبعد أن أثنى الحكيمُ الملكيّ دِهْرِتَرَاشْتْرَ على يُدْهِشْتِهيرا، سليلِ كورو، أذن له بالانصراف. وهكذا، استجابةً لكلماتِ دارما-راجا العظيمِ النفس، أكرمه دِهْرِتَرَاشْتْرَ ومنحه الإذنَ رسميًّا بالمغادرة—فكان ذلك فعلًا يجسّد الأدبَ وضبطَ النفس وحسنَ مراعاةِ الدارما حتى في خواتيم العمر.
युधिछिर उवाच
Even after conflict and loss, dharma is upheld through respectful speech, honoring elders, and granting or receiving permission in a disciplined, courteous manner; ethical order is maintained by proper conduct rather than resentment.
Yudhiṣṭhira speaks, and Dhṛtarāṣṭra responds by praising him and giving him leave to depart, marking a formal, reconciliatory exchange within the Ashramavāsika setting of withdrawal and late-life duty.
