Educational Q&A

The verse highlights the sanctity and social-cosmic importance of a properly upheld sacred rite: when dharma is embodied through disciplined ritual order, even divine beings are portrayed as gathering in harmony to honor it.

Vasiṣṭha describes a grand assembly at the site of a rite: the wives of the gods, celestial maidens, and the mothers of the gods arrive together, and the addressee is respectfully hailed as the foremost ornament of the Bhṛgu lineage.
