Śrāddha-Kalpa: Pitṛ-Pūjā and Tithi-Phala (श्राद्धकल्पः पितृपूजा च तिथिफलम्)
तदपत्यं हि युवयोर्देवानभिभवेद् ध्रुवम् । नहि ते पृथिवी देवी न च द्यौर्न दिवं विभो,“आप दोनोंसे जो पुत्र उत्पन्न होगा, वह निश्चय ही देवताओंको पराजित कर देगा। प्रभो! हमारा तो ऐसा विश्वास है कि न तो पृथ्वीदेवी, न आकाश और न स्वर्ग ही आपके तेजको धारण कर सकेगा। ये सब मिलकर भी आपके इस तेजको धारण करनेमें समर्थ नहीं हैं। यह सारा जगत् आपके तेजके प्रभावसे भस्म हो जायगा
tadapatyaṃ hi yuvayor devān abhibhaved dhruvam | nahi te pṛthivī devī na ca dyaur na divaṃ vibho |
قال بهيشما: «إنَّ الابنَ المولودَ منكما سيقهرُ الآلهةَ لا محالة. يا ربّ، إنّا على يقينٍ راسخٍ أنّ لا إلهةَ الأرض، ولا السماء، ولا حتى الفردوس يستطيع احتمالَ قوةِ إشعاعك. ولو اجتمعوا جميعًا لما قدروا على حمله؛ فالعالم كلّه سيصير رمادًا بوقعِ بهائك.»
