Brāhmaṇa-vandana: Criteria for Veneration, Disciplined Speech, and Protective Kingship (अनुशासनपर्व, अध्याय ८)

ब्रह्मण्य इति मामाहुस्तया वाचास्मि तोषित: । एतदेव पवित्रेभ्य: सर्वेभ्य: परमं स्मृतम्‌,लोग मुझे ब्राह्मणभक्त कहते हैं। उनके इस कथनसे मुझे बड़ा संतोष होता है। ब्राह्मणोंकी सेवा ही सम्पूर्ण पवित्र कर्मोंसे बढ़कर परम पवित्र कार्य है

brahmaṇya iti mām āhus tayā vācāsmi toṣitaḥ | etad eva pavitrebhyaḥ sarvebhyaḥ paramaṃ smṛtam |

قال بهيشما: «إنهم يدعونني “المُخلِصَ للبراهمة”، وبهذه الكلمات أجد سرورًا عظيمًا. حقًّا، إن هذا وحده يُذكر على أنه أسمى أعمال التطهير كلّها: خدمةُ البراهمة».
