गुरुशुश्रूषया शूरा: पितृशुश्रूषयापरे | मातृशुश्रूषया शूरा भैक्ष्यशूरास्तथापरे
bhīṣma uvāca |
guruśuśrūṣayā śūrāḥ pitṛśuśrūṣayāpare |
mātṛśuśrūṣayā śūrā bhaiṣyaśūrās tathāpare ||
قال بهيشما: «يُسمّى بعضهم أبطالًا لإخلاصهم في خدمة المعلّم (الغورو)، وآخرون لخدمة الأب. ويُظهر بعضهم بأسه بخدمة الأم، وآخرون كذلك هم “أبطال” في العيش على الصدقات. وهكذا فالبطولة لا تُرى في ساحة القتال وحدها، بل تُرى أيضًا في السلوك المنضبط، وأداء الواجب، وكبح النفس.»
