यस्त्वत्र मन्त्रसमयो भारयपत्योर्मिथ: कृत: । तमेवाहुर्गरीयांसं यश्चासौ ज्ञातिभि: कृत:

yas tv atra mantrasamayo bhāryāpatyor mithaḥ kṛtaḥ | tam evāhur garīyāṁsaṁ yaś cāsau jñātibhiḥ kṛtaḥ ||

قال بهيشما: «ومن بين صور الالتزام الزوجي، فإن العهد الذي يعقده الزوج والزوجة بينهما على وجهٍ طقسيٍّ صحيح، مصحوبًا بالتلاوة المقدسة، يُعدّ أثقلها وأعظمها شأنًا. فإذا زِيد على ذلك أن أكّده الأقارب وساندوه، كان أمدح وأجدر بالثناء، لأنه يجمع بين النذر الشخصي والإقرار الاجتماعي والاستقرار.»
