Brāhmaṇya-प्रश्नः — The Inquiry into Attaining Brāhmaṇya

यह तीर्थ-सेवनका कार्य परम पवित्र, पुण्यप्रद, स्वर्गकी प्राप्तिका सर्वोत्तम साधन और वेदोंका गुप्त रहस्य है। प्रत्येक तीर्थ पावन और स्नानके योग्य होता है ।। इदं दद्याद्‌ द्विजातीनां साधोरात्महितस्य च । सुहृदां च जपेत्‌ कर्णे शिष्यस्यानुगतस्य च,तीर्थोका यह माहात्म्य द्विजातियोंके, अपने हितैषी श्रेष्ठ पुरुषके, सुह्दोंके तथा अनुगत शिष्यके ही कानमें डालना चाहिये

idaṃ dadyād dvijātīnāṃ sādhōr ātma-hitasya ca | suhṛdāṃ ca japet karṇe śiṣyasyānugatasya ca ||

إن خدمة التيرثا وزيارتها عملٌ بالغ الطهارة، مُكْسِبٌ للثواب، وهو خير الوسائل لنيل السماء، وهو أيضًا سرٌّ مكتوم من أسرار الفيدا. فكل تيرثا مقدّسة وصالحة للاغتسال الطقسي. غير أن هذا البيان في عظمة التيرثات لا ينبغي أن يُلقَّن إلا للـ«ثنائيّي الميلاد» (dvija)، وللرجل الصالح الذي يطلب خيره الحق، وللأصدقاء الموثوقين، وللتلميذ المخلص المتبع للانضباط—يُهمَس به سرًّا في الأذن، كسرٍّ فيديٍّ مصون.
