Anuśāsana-parva 17
तेजसामपि यत् तेजस्तपसामपि यत् तपः । शान्तानामपि य: शान्तो द्युतीनामपि या झ्युति:
tejasām api yat tejas tapasām api yat tapaḥ | śāntānām api yaḥ śānto dyutīnām api yā dyutiḥ ||
قال فايُو: «هو البهاءُ بعينه حتى بين ذوي البهاء، والزهدُ بعينه حتى بين أهل التَّقشّف؛ وهو الأشدُّ سكينةً حتى بين الساكنين، وهو الإشعاعُ بين كل ما يشعّ—إنه السموُّ الأعلى في كل سموّ. منه تنشأ العوالم وإليه تذوب؛ وهو الذاتُ الباطنة لجميع الكائنات. فاسمع مني الآن، يا خيرَ الرجال: سأُعلن الأسماءَ الألفَ والثمانية للرب شِيفا ذي الجلال الذي لا يُقاس. وبمجرد سماعها تنالُ تمامَ كل رغباتك.»
