युगरूपो महारूपो महानागहनोडवध: । न्यायनिर्वपण: पाद: पण्डितो हृचलोपम:
yugarūpo mahārūpo mahānāgahanodavadhaḥ | nyāyanirvapaṇaḥ pādaḥ paṇḍito ’calopamaḥ ||
قال إله الريح فايُو: «إنه صورة العصور (اليوغا) ذاتها، ذو هيئة فسيحة مهيبة؛ قاتل عفريت الفيل الجبار (غجاسورا)؛ خالد لا يدركه موت؛ يهب العطايا على مقتضى العدل؛ ملجأٌ أمين لمن يلتمس الحمى؛ حكيمٌ حقًّا؛ ثابتٌ كالجبل».
वायुदेव उवाच
The verse praises an ideal divine figure as the embodiment of cosmic order and ethical governance: immortal, just in giving, a dependable refuge for devotees, and unwavering in resolve—linking true greatness with dharma (justice, right generosity, and steadfast protection).
Vāyu-deva is speaking in a laudatory mode, listing epithets that describe the exalted qualities and heroic deeds of the praised being—cosmic stature, demon-slaying power, immortality, righteous generosity, and mountain-like steadiness—typical of Anuśāsana Parva’s didactic and devotional passages.
