रुद्रस्य विक्रमं दृष्टवा भीता देवा: सहर्षिभि: । ततः प्रसादयामासु: शर्व ते विबुधोत्तमा:,रुद्रका पराक्रम देखकर ऋषियोंसहित सम्पूर्ण देवता थर्या उठे। फिर उन श्रेष्ठ देवताओंने भगवान् शिवको प्रसन्न किया
rudrasya vikramaṃ dṛṣṭvā bhītā devāḥ saharṣibhiḥ | tataḥ prasādayāmāsuḥ śarvaṃ te vibudhottamāḥ ||
ولمّا رأى الآلهةُ، ومعهم الحكماء، بأسَ رودرا الطاغي، استولى عليهم الخوف. فعندئذٍ سعى أولئك السامون من أهل السماء إلى استرضاء شَرْڤا (شِڤا) والتماس رضاه.
वायुदेव उवाच
True strength is met rightly through humility and reverence: when confronted with a higher, divine power, the proper dharmic response is to restrain ego and seek harmony by propitiation rather than rivalry.
Vāyudeva narrates that the gods and sages, witnessing Rudra’s formidable prowess, become fearful and then collectively attempt to please Śiva (Śarva) to obtain his grace and avert danger.
