tataḥ praṇemuḥ devās te vepamānāḥ sama-śaṅkaram | punaś ca sandadhe rudro dīptaṃ suniśitaṃ śaram |

The verse highlights humility before overwhelming divine authority: even the gods, recognizing Śiva’s irresistible power, respond with reverence. Ethically, it suggests that true wisdom includes knowing when to yield pride and seek peace through respectful submission.
The gods, frightened and shaken, bow to Śaṅkara. At the same time, Rudra prepares another blazing, extremely sharp arrow, indicating readiness to act and intensifying the tension of the scene.
