इत्युक्तो5हं शरीरं स्वं ददर्श श्रीसमायुतम् । 'परंतु यह खीर तुमने अपने पैरोंके तलवोंमें नहीं लगायी है। बेटा! तुमने ऐसा क्यों किया? तुम्हारा यह कार्य मुझे प्रिय नहीं लगा।” इस प्रकार जब उन्होंने मुझसे प्रसन्नतापूर्वक कहा
ity ukto ’haṁ śarīraṁ svaṁ dadarśa śrī-samāyutam |
قال فايُو: «فلما خوطبتُ بهذا، أبصرتُ جسدي وقد تزيّن ببهاءٍ ميمون.» وفي سياق الحكاية يتذكّر المتكلم أنه نُبِّه بلطفٍ لأنه لم يضع الكṣīra (اللبن الحلو المقدَّم) على أخمصي القدمين؛ فصارت تلك الموعظة الراضية إشارةً أخلاقية: إن ما أُمِر به ينبغي أن يُؤدَّى كاملًا لا منقوصًا، فتظهر تهذيبُ الباطن والظاهر—مُمثَّلًا في إشراق الجسد المفاجئ.
