अध्याय १६ — शङ्कर-उमा-वरदानम् तथा तण्डि-स्तुतिः (Śaṅkara–Umā Boon-Granting and Taṇḍi’s Hymn)
उपमन्युरुवाच एतान् दत्त्वा वरान् देवो वन्द्यमान: सुरभि: | स्तूयमानश्व विबुधैस्तत्रैवान्तरधीयत
Upamanyur uvāca: etān dattvā varān devo vandyamānaḥ surabhiḥ | stūyamānaś ca vibudhais tatraivāntaradhīyata ||
قال أوبامانيو: بعدما منح هذه العطايا، توارى الربّ الإلهي—المبجَّل لدى سورَبهي والمُمجَّد بألسنة الآلهة—عن الأنظار في ذلك الموضع بعينه. ويُبرز هذا الخبر أن الإخلاص الصادق والثناء المستقيم يبلغان بصاحبهما إلى النعمة الإلهية، غير أن حضور الإله يظلّ فوق التناول، يظهر ويحتجب وفق مشيئته هو.
