स वरैश्छन्दितस्तेन नूपो वचनमत्रवीत् । सहस्रबाहुर्भूयां वै चमूमध्ये गृहेडन्यथा
sa varaiś chanditas tena nūpo vacanam abravīt | sahasrabāhur bhūyāṃ vai camūmadhye gṛhe ’nyathā ||
قال بيشما: ولما حثّه ذلك الحكيم على اختيار النِّعَم، أجاب الملك: «ليكن لي في القتال، في قلب الجيش، ألف ذراع؛ أمّا في البيت فليكن أمري على غير ذلك (ذراعين فقط). وليرَ جميع الجنود في ساحة الحرب ألف ذراعي.»
