Rudra-Śiva: Names, Two Natures, and the Logic of Epithets
eṣa mokṣavidāṃ dharmo vedoktaḥ satpathaḥ satām | yo mārgam anuyātīmaṃ brahmapadaṃ tasya ca vidyate ||
Liberation is attained by following the Veda-taught dharma—the ‘true path’ upheld by the virtuous. Ethical discipline and fidelity to sacred instruction are presented as the reliable route to brahmapada, the highest spiritual state.
Śrīmaheśvara is instructing about mokṣa-dharma within the Anuśāsana Parva’s didactic setting, affirming that the path endorsed by the Veda and practiced by the good leads to the supreme goal (brahmapada).
