Śiva-nāmānukīrtana-prastāvaḥ
Prologue to the praise of Śiva and the Upamanyu testimony
यत् तद् भगवता पूर्व दत्त चक्रं तवानघ । जलान्तरचरं हत्वा दैत्यं च बलगर्वितम्
yat tad bhagavatā pūrva datta cakraṁ tavānagha | jalāntaracaraṁ hatvā daityaṁ ca balagarvitam ||
قال فاسوديفا: «يا من لا إثم عليه، إن ذلك القرص الذي منحه لك الربّ المبارك من قبل—بعد أن قتل العفريت (الدايتيا) المتكبّر، المخمور بقوته، الذي كان يجول في أعماق المياه—قد أخرجه إلى الوجود فِرْشادْهْفَجَة (شِيفا) نفسه ووهبه لك. ذلك السلاح يتّقد كالنار، ذو بهاء عجيب، لا يُقاوَم.»
