वर्षाणि षडशीतिं तु दुर्वत्ता: कुलपांसना: । स्त्रिय: सर्वा्न दुर्वत्ता: प्रतिमेहन्ति या रविम्
varṣāṇi ṣaḍaśītiṁ tu durvattāḥ kulapāṁsanāḥ | striyaḥ sarvān durvattāḥ pratimehanti yā ravim ||
قال شَكْرَا: «طوال ستٍّ وثمانين سنة كانت تلك النساء—سيئات السلوك، عارًا على سلالتهن—كلهن فاسدات؛ بل يرتكبن حتى الفظاعة بأن يبلنَ نحو الشمس.»
शक्र उवाच
The verse condemns extreme breaches of proper conduct (ācāra) and reverence, presenting disrespect toward the Sun as a marker of deep moral degradation and familial disgrace.
Indra (Śakra) speaks in denunciation, characterizing certain women as long-standing wrongdoers and citing a shocking act—urinating toward the Sun—to emphasize their impiety and unethical behavior.
