Conduct of the Virtuous Wife

न वृत्तं मन्यते तस्य मन््यते न च पातकम् | तथा स्वकर्मनिर्वत्तं न पुण्यंन च पापकम्
Transliteration
na vṛttaṁ manyate tasya manyate na ca pātakam | tathā svakarmanirvṛttaṁ na puṇyaṁ na ca pāpakam ||
Translation
قال فياسا: ذلك الرجل لا تُعَدّ له فعلةٌ «ثوابًا»، ولا تُعَدّ له فعلةٌ «إثمًا». وكذلك الأعمال التي تنشأ من واجبه المقرّر لا تصير له فضيلةً ولا رذيلة. إذ هو ثابتٌ في البرهمن (Brahman) ومتحرّرٌ من كِبْر الفاعلية ووهم «أنا الفاعل»، فلا يكتسب ثمرات الثواب والعقاب المولودة من العمل.
