Praise of the ‘Mental Tīrtha’ and the Marks of Purity
pīnastanorujaghanā divyābharaṇabhūṣitāḥ | ramayanti manaḥ kānte vimāne sūryasaṃnibhe ||
The verse illustrates the idea of heavenly enjoyment as a fruit of merit: celestial beauty, adornment, and radiant conveyances are portrayed as rewards that please the mind, reinforcing the broader Anuśāsana-Parva theme that actions and virtues yield corresponding results.
Bhīṣma is describing a heavenly scene: divine, ornamented women delight their beloved while moving in a sun-like radiant vimāna, as part of a larger discourse on the outcomes of dharma and accumulated merit.
