अंगियरा उवाच
The verse suggests that the fruits of merit are experienced as harmony and auspiciousness: even awakening occurs through sweet, well-ordered sounds. It implies that righteous living culminates in refined, non-violent, uplifting experiences rather than harsh disturbance.
Aṅgiras addresses a ruler and describes a person being awakened from sleep by the melodious sounds of musical instruments—vīṇā, vallakī, and flute—evoking the atmosphere of celestial enjoyment that accompanies the reward of virtue.
