ययाति–देवयानी संवादः

Yayāti–Devayānī Dialogue and Śukra’s Consent

वैशम्पायन उवाच कचस्तु त॑ तथेत्युक्त्वा प्रतिजग्राह तद्‌ व्रतम्‌ आदिटष्ट॑ कविपुत्रेण शुक्रेणोशनसा स्वयम्‌,वैशम्पायनजी कहते हैं--तब कचने “बहुत अच्छा” कहकर महाकान्तिमान्‌ कविपुत्र शुक्राचार्यके आदेशके अनुसार स्वयं ब्रह्मचर्य व्रत ग्रहण किया

Vaiśampāyana uvāca: Kacaḥ tu tathā ity uktvā pratijagrāha tad vratam, ādiṣṭaḥ kaviputreṇa Śukreṇa Uśanasā svayam.

قال فَيْشَمْبايَنَة: عندئذٍ قال كَچا: «ليكن كذلك»، وقَبِل نذر البَرَهْمَچَرْيَا (العِفّة والانضباط)، كما أمره شُكرا—أوشَنَس نفسه، ابن الحكيم الشاعر.
