Nāga-prādhānya-nāma-kathana

एवमस्त्विति त॑ चापि प्रत्यूचु: सत्यवादिन: । तान्‌ कश्यप उवाचेदं सान्त्वपूर्व प्रजापति:,सत्यवादी महर्षि वालखिल्योंने “हाँ ऐसी ही बात है” कहकर अपने कर्मकी सिद्धिका प्रतिपादन किया। तब प्रजापति कश्यपने उन्हें सान्त्वनापूर्वक समझाते हुए कहा --

evam astv iti te cāpi pratyūcuḥ satyavādinaḥ | tān kaśyapa uvācedaṃ sāntvapūrvaḥ prajāpatiḥ ||

فأجاب أولئك الحكماء الصادقون موافقين: «ليكن كذلك». ثم إن براجابتي كاشيابا، وقد أراد أولاً أن يهدّئهم ويصلح ما بينهم، خاطبهم بكلمات رقيقة مطمئنة، واضعًا عزمهم ضمن نظامٍ أخلاقيٍّ أوسع، وحاثًّا إياهم على الثبات في السلوك القويم.
