तत्परितोषाच्च श्रेय: सर्वज्ञतां चावाप | एषा तस्यापि परीक्षा वेदस्य,गुरुके संतोषसे वेदने श्रेय तथा सर्वज्ञता प्राप्त कर ली। इस प्रकार यह वेदकी परीक्षाका वृत्तान्त कहा गया
tatparitoṣāc ca śreyaḥ sarvajñatāṃ cāvāpa | eṣā tasyāpi parīkṣā vedasya |
وبسبب ذلك الرضا (رضا الغورو) نال الخير الحقّ، ونال كذلك علمًا شاملًا كعلم من أحاط بكل شيء. فهذه هي محنة فيدا: إن إرضاء المعلّم في الغوروكولا يورث أعلى الخير وأوسع المعرفة. وهكذا رُوي خبر امتحان فيدا.
राम उवाच
Sacred learning is validated not only by recitation but by character and service: pleasing the teacher through disciplined conduct is presented as a decisive ‘test’ that yields śreyaḥ (the highest good) and comprehensive understanding.
The speaker states that the protagonist, by satisfying his guru, attained welfare and omniscience; this is framed as an account of how the Veda itself ‘tests’ a student—through the requirement of guru-satisfaction in the gurukula.
