असकृदू भग्नसंकल्पा: सुराश्च बहुश: कृता:
asakṛd ū bhagnasaṅkalpāḥ surāś ca bahuśaḥ kṛtāḥ
قال فايشَمبايانا: مرّةً بعد مرّة تكسّرت عزيمتهم، ومراتٍ كثيرة اضطُرّت الآلهة إلى أن تعاود الفعل من جديد.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse underscores how repeated setbacks can break even firm intentions, yet the larger order of events continues—sometimes requiring renewed effort even from the gods. Ethically, it highlights perseverance and the instability of mere resolve when confronted by powerful circumstances.
Vaiśampāyana narrates that in the unfolding events, certain parties repeatedly had their plans frustrated, and the devas themselves had to intervene or take action multiple times as the situation kept recurring.
