स तमादाय कौन्तेयो विस्फुरन्तं जलेचरम् | उदतिष्ठन्महाबाहुर्बलेन बलिनां वर:,परंतु बलवानोंमें श्रेष्ठ महाबाहु कुन्तीकुमार बहुत उछल-कूद मचाते हुए उस जलचर जीवको लिये-दिये पानीसे बाहर निकल आये
sa tam ādāya kaunteyo visphurantaṃ jalecaram | udatīṣṭhan mahābāhur balena balināṃ varaḥ ||
قال فَيْشَمْبَايَنَة: فأمسك ابنُ كُنْتِي، عظيمُ الساعدين، وهو أسبقُ الأقوياء، بذلك الكائنِ المائيّ وهو يتخبّط ويتلوّى، ثم نهض وخرج من الماء بقوةٍ خالصة.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse foregrounds controlled power: true strength is shown in overcoming danger and restoring safety, not in reckless violence. Heroic might is framed as disciplined capacity directed toward a purposeful end.
