ऊचुश्न सहितास्तत्र साध्विमौ ब्राह्मणर्षभौ । विज्ञायेतां क्वजन्मानौ क्वनिवासौ तथैव च
ūcuḥ sma sahitās tatra sādhv imau brāhmaṇarṣabhau | vijñāyetāṃ kva janmānau kva nivāsau tathaiva ca ||
قال فايشَمبايانا: ثم هتفوا جميعًا هناك بصوت واحد: «آه! إن هذين حقًّا جديران—ثوران بين البراهمة. فتبيّنوا أين وُلدا وأين يقيمان أيضًا». ومدحُ الجمع يعكس نزعةً أخلاقيةً إلى تعظيم الفضيلة الظاهرة، وإلى معرفة أصل من تُلهم سيرتُهم المهابة.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights a social-ethical impulse: genuine virtue naturally draws reverence, and communities seek to know the origins and dwelling of exemplary persons—both to honor them and to understand the sources of their conduct.
A group of people, speaking in unison, praises two outstanding Brahmin figures and urges others to ascertain their birthplace and residence, indicating public admiration and curiosity about their identity.
