असत्कार: स तु महान् मुहूर्तमपि तस्य तु । नापैति हृदयाद् राज्ञो दुर्मना: स कृशो5भवत्,उस समय उनका जो महान् अपमान हुआ, वह दो घड़ीके लिये भी राजा द्रुपदके हृदयसे निकल नहीं पाया। वे मन-ही-मन बहुत दुःखी थे और उनका शरीर भी बहुत दुर्बल हो गया
asatkāraḥ sa tu mahān muhūrtam api tasya tu | nāpaiti hṛdayād rājño durmanāḥ sa kṛśo 'bhavat ||
إن الإهانة الجسيمة التي لحقته لم تفارق قلب الملك دروبادا لحظةً واحدة. كان يضمر الأسى في باطنه، فاستولى عليه الكمد، حتى غدا جسده هزيلاً ناحلاً.
