Post–Baka-vadha Residence and the Introduction of Yājñasenī’s Svayaṃvara
Vaiśampāyana uvāca: prabodhayaitān saṃsuptān mātaraṃ ca paraṃtapa | savan iva gamiṣyāmi gṛhītvā vo vihāyasā ||
The verse highlights dharma as immediate responsibility: when danger is near, one must act swiftly to protect dependents—especially family—without hesitation, combining courage with care.
A speaker urges a heroic figure addressed as “paraṃtapa” to wake the sleeping brothers and their mother, because the speaker intends to take them all away at once via the sky-route, implying an urgent escape or rescue.
