दुर्योधन उवाच श्रुता मे जल्पतां तात पौराणामशिवा गिर: । त्वामनादृत्य भीष्म च पतिमिच्छन्ति पाण्डवम्,दुर्योधन बोला--'पिताजी! मैंने परस्पर वार्तालाप करते हुए पुरवासियोंके मुखसे (बड़ी) अशुभ बातें सुनी हैं। वे आपका और भीष्मजीका अनादर करके पाण्डुनन्दन युधिष्ठिरको राजा बनाना चाहते हैं
duryodhana uvāca: śrutā me jalpatāṃ tāta paurāṇām aśivā giraḥ | tvām anādṛtya bhīṣmaṃ ca patim icchanti pāṇḍavam ||
قال دُرْيُوذَنَة: «يا أبتِ، لقد سمعتُ أهلَ المدينة وهم يتناجون بكلماتٍ مشؤومة. إنهم يتجاوزونك ويستخفّون ببِهِيشْمَة، ويريدون أن يجعلوا الباندڤا (يُدْهِشْتِيرَ) سيّدًا وملكًا عليهم.»
