Droṇa’s Ācārya-Dakṣiṇā: Capture of Drupada and Division of Pāñcāla (द्रोण-आचार्यदक्षिणा)
पश्यति सम महाबाहुं भीम॑ भीमपराक्रमम् । आर्यकेण च दृष्ट: स पृथाया आर्यकेण च,तब वासुकिने उन नागोंके साथ आकर भयंकर पराक्रमी महाबाहु भीमसेनको देखा। उसी समय नागराज आर्यकने भी उन्हें देखा, जो पृथाके पिता शूरसेनके नाना थे। उन्होंने अपने दौहित्रके दौहित्रको कसकर छातीसे लगा लिया। महायशस्वी नागराज वासुकि भी भीमसेनपर बहुत प्रसन्न हुए और बोले--“इनका कौन-सा प्रिय कार्य किया जाय? इन्हें धन, सोना और रत्नोंकी राशि भेंट की जाय”
paśyati sa mahābāhuṃ bhīmaṃ bhīmaparākramam | āryakeṇa ca dṛṣṭaḥ sa pṛthāyā āryakeṇa ca ||
قال فايشَمبايَنا (Vaiśampāyana): ثم رآه—بهيما (Bhīma) ذا الذراعين القويتين، رهيبَ البأس. وفي تلك اللحظة نفسها رآه أيضًا آريَكا (Āryaka)، الشيخُ الموقَّر من النّاغا المرتبط بسلالة پِرِثا (Pṛthā). فلما عرفه آريَكا أنه من نسله، ضمَّه إلى صدره ضمًّا شديدًا. وكذلك سُرَّ ملكُ النّاغا الجليل فاسُكي (Vāsuki) ببهيماسينا سرورًا عظيمًا وقال: «أيُّ خدمةٍ محبوبةٍ نؤدّيها له؟ أَنُهدي إليه ثروةً—ذهبًا وأكوامًا من الجواهر؟»
