अनुक्रमणिकाध्यायः (Anukramaṇikā Adhyāya) — Invocation, Narrator Frame, and Textual Scope
अथ तेषूपविष्टेषु सर्वेष्वेव तपस्विषु । निर्दिष्टमासनं भेजे विनयाललौमहर्षणि:
atha teṣūpaviṣṭeṣu sarveṣv eva tapasviṣu | nirdiṣṭam āsanaṃ bheje vinayāl lomaharṣaṇiḥ ||
ثم لما جلس أولئك الزهّاد جميعًا، اتخذ لوماهرشَنا—تواضعًا وحسنَ أدب—المقعد الذي عُيّن له. ويؤكد المشهد معنى الانضباط: فحتى الراوي العليم يوقّر المجلس بقبول موضعه في سكينةٍ وتواضع، لا بروح التقدّم والادّعاء.
