Suta Goswami (narrating dharma and prāyaścitta norms within the Linga Purana discourse)
It sets a purity-standard: regular Sandhyā and āhnika maintain adhikāra (fitness) for Shiva-upāsanā and Linga-pūjā; lapses create mala (impurity) that must be removed through prescribed repetition.
Implicitly, Shiva is Pati—the Lord approached through disciplined purification. By correcting omissions, the pashu (bound soul) loosens pasha (bondage) and becomes fit for Shaiva sādhana oriented to Shiva-tattva.
Prāyaścitta by āvṛtti (repetition/recitation) for Sandhyā-vandana and daily āhnika—showing that regulated nitya-karma supports inner steadiness required for Pāśupata-oriented practice.
