Suta Goswami (narrating to the sages of Naimisharanya)
It states that sustained Śiva-observance (vrata/upāsanā) for a year—whether perfectly sequential or with adjusted sequence—still bears the highest fruit: Śiva-sāyujya, affirming the primacy of devotion and continuity in Linga-centered practice.
Śiva is presented as Pati, the liberator who grants sāyujya (intimate union) and jñāna-yoga—indicating His role as the supreme source of grace that dissolves pāśa and reveals the soul’s true orientation toward Him.
A year-long Śiva-vrata (regulated observance) is emphasized, culminating not merely in merit but in jñāna-yoga—liberating insight aligned with Pāśupata-oriented discipline leading to mokṣa.
