Shloka 56

शिवार्चनविधिः — देवतानां पाशुपतव्रतप्राप्तिः तथा पशुपाशविमोक्षणम् (अध्याय ८०)

उपदिश्य मुनीनां च सहास्ते चांबया भवः तदाप्रभृति ते देवाः सर्वे पाशुपताः स्मृताः

upadiśya munīnāṃ ca sahāste cāṃbayā bhavaḥ tadāprabhṛti te devāḥ sarve pāśupatāḥ smṛtāḥ

وبعد أن لقَّنَ الحكماءَ (المونين)، أقام بهافا (شيفا) هناك مع أمبا (شاكتي). ومنذ ذلك الحين عُدَّ أولئك الدِّيفات جميعًا «باشوباتا»؛ أي مُحبّين ثابتين في پَتي، سائرين في الطريق الذي يُرخي پاشا (قيد) البَشو (النفس).
